- User's manual
- The program is intended for remote controlling of your media system. You should determine Remote Control keys assignment first. In other words, you should determine a key for "Play" command, a key for "Stop" command and so on for all desired functions. So, the program can operate in two main modes "Training" and "Working".
- Training (the buttons assignment)
- The program's untrained buttons are marked with "!". It means there are no Remote Control keys assigned for them. To train button you should Ctrl Click it. After that, you have to direct the Remote Control Unit (RCU) to IrDA receiver and follow the instruction.
- You have to press/hold the button until the training progress indicator reaches the end. Then release the button for 3 seconds and press the button again when prompted. Repeat the procedure 4 times.
- Then IrDA Remote Control analyses those 4 RCU's signal packages. If the signal is acceptable the button will be supposed trained. If all 4 signals are too different, you will have to repeat the training (see Tips and Tricks).
- There are some kinds of RCUs, which require additional training procedure. So you (if prompted) have to proceed with 2 extra training cycles. During those 2 cycles you have to make short /sharp button presses - Make several sharp key presses and then release the button for 3 seconds. Follow the instruction near the progress indicator. For that kind of RCU's you will have to use the same kind of sharp key presses in the working mode.
- If the progress indicator moves forward but falls down to the start, it means there are breaks in the signal detection and you should repeat the testing. You can also try to move the RCU near or far, or direct on to IrDA receiver more precisely to increase the detection quality. If the progress indicator does not move anyway, please try another Remote Control Unit.
- The process should be repeated for each desired "RCU key - the program's button" pair.
- Working
- When several (at least) desired keys are trained, the program is ready for use. If the program detects Remote Control key pressed, it greys correspondent IrRC button for a second and sends the command to your media player/center. The progress indicator shows input signal level.
At any time, you can press an the program's button manually to verify remote command passing to your media system.
